How is Tailor Made different?

Our programs at Tailor Made are coordinated by a nurse practitioner (NP) who specializes in weight loss. We believe in giving you the best chance at success by diagnosing and helping to correct any root cause of weight gain. We can give you weight loss medications; meal plans and teach you how to fit exercise into your life by making small changes. However, it will be an up-hill battle if you have an underling medical condition that is hindering your progress such as thyroid imbalance for example. Our recommend optional labs were selected to diagnose hormone imbalances and talking to you about how we can correct them if they are present.

Along the journey together we will switch things up as you give us feedback. We want to help you achieve your goals but make it sustainable. Losing the weight is the easy part, keeping it off is tough.

What is telemedicine?

Telemedicine is a platform that allows a visit between the healthcare and provider virtually through your phone or computer. This means we can meet in a space that you chose.

Do you accept insurance?

Many insurance policies do not cover weight loss. As a result we do not work with insurance companies. However, your insurance company may be willing to reimburse you for our visit. and labs you have done. We would be considered "out of network" since our practice does not work with insurance. We are happy to provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. This will be your responsibility to follow up with insurance to receive reimbursement. Please note that Medicare beneficiaries are not entitled to any reimbursement for services we provide. Fees for services not covered by insurance and Medicare will be your sole responsibility.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express). Payment is due at time of appointment with the nurse practitioner. We can also accept FSA/HSA.

How much are labs?

Most labs are covered by health insurance. No additional diagnostics are ordered without your consent. You will be responsible to pay the lab for any out of pocket charge not covered by your insurance provider, so we recommend checking with your insurance prior to having labs done.

Do you have in-person visits available?

Yes, we have 2 locations in Harford County Maryland. In person weekly visits will have an additional cost. If interested, just mention that you would like to learn more about clinic visits. However, if you prefer telehealth visits, we plan to always have this as an option.

What does the initial assessment include?

We ask that you complete some forms before you meet with us so that we can get to know you better. We highly encourage lab work, but at this time unless the medical director has determined there is a health concern, they are optional. We take a holistic approach and your likes and dislikes matter as much to us as your medical history.
